Searches for AI marketing tools in India now name the assistants directly: Claude, Gemini, Meta AI, ChatGPT, Google Flow. The question behind all of them is the same one business owners ask us on calls: which of these should my team actually use, and for what? Here is the plain answer, tool by tool, with what each costs and where it breaks.
One rule before the list. AI tools remove the production bottleneck, not the thinking. They make a mediocre strategy faster and a good strategy cheaper. The strategy still has to exist.

Book a Free DiagnosisClaude: the writer and the analyst
Claude, built by Anthropic, is the assistant we reach for when the output has to read like a person wrote it. Long-form content, brand voice work, rewriting a page without flattening it, and reading long documents, a 60-page market report in one go, are its strong suits. Marketers also use its Projects feature to keep brand guidelines and tone rules loaded so every draft starts on-voice. Free tier available; the paid plan lands around Rs 1,600 to Rs 2,000 a month. Weakness: it is an assistant, not a suite; it does not schedule posts or run your ads.
Gemini: the Google-native choice
Gemini is Google's assistant, and its edge is plumbing. It sits inside Gmail, Docs, Sheets and Meet, and Google's ad products increasingly lean on the same models for creative generation and campaign suggestions. If your business runs on Google Workspace and your money runs through Google Ads, Gemini is the lowest-friction choice. It is also strong at multimodal work: feed it a photo of your shop shelf or a competitor's flyer and ask questions. Free tier available; paid plans bundle with Google One AI around Rs 1,950 a month.
Meta AI: marketing where India already chats
Meta AI's advantage is placement, not raw capability: it lives inside WhatsApp and Instagram, the two apps Indian customers already use to talk to businesses. For a small business owner it is the fastest way to draft replies, captions, offers and creative ideas on the phone itself. The rising search interest in the Meta AI video generator points the same direction Meta is pushing: quick AI-generated creative for reels and ads. Free to use. Weakness: weakest of the group for long, structured work.
ChatGPT: the default all-rounder
ChatGPT remains the most used assistant and the biggest ecosystem: custom GPTs, voice, image generation, data analysis. For marketing it is the Swiss army knife, good at nearly everything, best at nothing in particular. Two developments matter for Indian businesses: ChatGPT search now answers buying questions directly, which is why we treat AI SEO as its own discipline, and OpenAI has opened advertising inside ChatGPT, which we covered in how to run ChatGPT ads in India.
Google Flow: AI video without a shoot
Flow is Google's AI filmmaking tool built around its Veo video model. You describe scenes, it generates clips, and you stitch them into sequences. For marketing teams this means draft-quality ad creative, product mood films and short-form video tests without hiring a crew. It will not replace a brand film yet, and good results still take many attempts, but for testing five creative directions before paying to produce one, it already earns its seat. Access comes through Google's AI plans.
A working stack for a small Indian team
- One thinking assistant (Claude or ChatGPT, around Rs 1,600 to Rs 2,500 a month) for strategy drafts, content and analysis.
- Gemini if you live in Workspace, otherwise skip.
- Meta AI free, on the business phone, for fast replies and captions.
- One automation layer that connects AI to your actual lead flow: forms answered in seconds, WhatsApp follow-ups, CRM updates. This is where the money is made, and it is what our AI automation service builds; our earlier post on AI marketing automation for small businesses ranks the use cases by payback.
Total tooling cost for most SMEs: under Rs 5,000 a month. The gap between businesses is no longer access to AI. It is whether anyone wired it into the way customers are actually handled.
The two failure modes to avoid
Publishing raw AI output. Unedited AI text reads generic, and generic content neither ranks nor persuades. Every public word still needs a human pass for claims, specifics and voice.
Tool collecting. Five subscriptions and no workflow is the most common pattern we see in audits. One assistant used daily beats five used never. Decide the workflow first, then buy the tool it needs.

Which AI tool is best for marketing content?
Claude for long-form and voice, ChatGPT as the all-rounder, Gemini when your work lives in Google. The operator matters more than the tool.
Are AI marketing tools free?
All the major assistants have usable free tiers. Paid plans in India run roughly Rs 1,600 to Rs 2,500 a month per tool for higher limits and better models.
What is Google Flow?
Google's AI filmmaking tool built on its Veo video model. It generates and stitches AI video scenes, useful for ad creative drafts without a shoot.
